The Rath R400 is a large bore Bb/F tenor trombone from Rath's R00 series - the range that bridges the gap between student instruments and Rath's fully custom, hand-crafted trombones. Designed by the UK's leading trombone maker, Michael Rath, it is the ideal first professional instrument for the serious player.

With a .547" large bore, an 8.5" yellow brass bell and a rotary F attachment, the R400 delivers a rich, powerful sound with the flexibility to excel in orchestras, concert and wind bands, brass bands and solo work. Supplied with a Rath case and Rath L5 mouthpiece.
